• Applicants must be students who will study for one (1) semester or two (2) consecutive semesters at John Cabot University in Rome. 
• Applicants must be of at least 25% Italian heritage. 
• Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 or 88% or B+.
• Priority consideration is given to financial circumstances.

Summary of Requirements for Applicants for Guarini Study Abroad Scholarship

• ALL requested documentation must be uploaded to the Scholar’s App (LINK).
• The applicant’s FAFSA Submission Summary must be provided in addition to 2024 and 2025 Federal Tax Return documents for self and/or parents.
• OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT – most recent completed academic term
• 1 ESSAY: (ESSAY TOPIC IS ON THE APPLICATION)
  • All aspects of the written essays will be considered, including supporting details and mechanics. 
• 3 RECOMMENDATION LETTERS:
  • TWO MUST be from the current teachers and/or counselors.
  • ONE may be from community members, counselors, or another person who can speak to the applicant’s current academic merits and/or extracurricular and community service activities.
  • RECOMMENDATIONS FROM FRIENDS OR FAMILY MEMBERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
