The Annual Columbus Day Mass, held at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Monday, October 12, 2026, brought our community together for a meaningful celebration of faith, heritage, and tradition.

This year’s Mass was celebrated by His Eminence Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop Emeritus of New York, with Reverend Monsignor Jamie Gigantiello, Chair of the Columbus Day Mass, also joining the occasion.

The Mass honors the spirit of the millions of men, women, and children who came to America in pursuit of freedom and opportunity, and the faith that helped them endure hardship and adversity.

This cherished tradition has featured distinguished Italian performers over the years, including renowned opera singers and choirs. This year, students from Liceo Musicale Sandro Pertini in Genova, Italy, added a special musical tribute, celebrating the enduring cultural and spiritual bonds between Italy and America.
