The Annual Columbus Day Mass is held at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. The Mass recalls the spirit of the millions of men, women, and children who came to America in pursuit of freedom and opportunity, and the faith that helped them endure hardship and adversity. 

Distinguished Italian performers who have contributed to this hallowed tradition have included Venetian opera singers Erica Grimaldi, soprano, Carlo Gabriele Nicolini, tenor, the exceptional  Salvatore Licitra, tenor at the Metropolitan Opera House, and the Children’s Choir of Palermo, Sicily.
