Please join us Wednesday, June 7 for a Conversation with Judge George A. Grasso (Ret.). George Grasso, a former First Deputy Police Commissioner NYPD (2002-2010), has achieved the highest ranking by an Italian American in the NYPD. After being the second longest serving First Deputy, he went on to become a Judge, and is now formally challenging Queens District Attorney, Melinda Katz, in a Democratic primary on June 27 with the campaign theme "NYC's Recovery Starts in Queens." Meet The Author: A Discussion on Women’s Health & Preventative Care with Joanne Ameruoso
Join us for an engaging discussion on the importance of annual health screenings and preventative care at Columbus Citizens Foundation on Thursday, June 22. The evening begins with a reception at 6:00 PM, followed by a conversation with friend of the Foundation, Joanne Ameruoso. Her memoir, Faith Over Fear: How My Mom's Fear of Breast Cancer Became My Fight, is an inspiring story of how she transformed her mother's fear into a source of strength, and is now a fierce advocate for women's health. Attendees will be gifted a copy of the book Joanne Ameruoso is passionate about helping other women find their voices. She is a Health Coach, a Teacher's Assistant for Special Ed Children, and mentor for women with breast cancer.
