The Columbus Citizens Foundation Ladies Auxiliary is pleased to sponsor the “Legenda Maior” Artistic-Painting Training Course, a distinguished scholarship program created to develop participants’ artistic skills while fostering a connection to their Italian heritage.
The course will commence with an introduction on July 7, followed by daily sessions from July 8 through July 18 (excluding July 12 and July 16), scheduled from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Under the guidance of renowned art master Claudia Nodari and her team, participants will learn traditional Italian fresco techniques, focusing on the masterpieces of Giotto and the inspiring stories of St. Francis of Assisi, whose passing is being commemorated this year.
Scholarship recipients will join a distinguished cohort and receive full instruction, all necessary materials, and personalized support. Classes will integrate theoretical lessons with practical exercises, including educational image projections and ongoing staff assistance. Each participant will be provided with a personalized kit, support preparation boards, specialized tools, an apron, descriptive tags in both English and Italian, and comprehensive printed and digital resources.
Upon completion, all participants will receive personalized certificates and special gifts, recognizing their achievements and reinforcing their connection to Italian cultural identity.
