The Columbus Citizens Foundation is the nonprofit behind this parade. Since 1929 we have marched up Fifth Avenue to celebrate Italian-American culture and history, and every year the celebration raises scholarships for young Italian Americans.
More than $43 million awarded, and counting.

What the Foundation does
We run the parade
The world's largest celebration of Italian-American heritage, staged up Fifth Avenue every October. The floats, the bands, the marshals: all of it organized by the Foundation, and free for every New Yorker to enjoy.
We honor the culture and history
Italian Americans helped build this country. We keep that story visible and celebrate the achievements of a community more than 20 million strong, alongside every immigrant community that makes our city what it is.
We fund the future
Our scholarships have carried thousands of Italian-American students from grade school through college, awarded on merit and on need. What you are watching today is what pays for it.
