Book Club

We are pleased to announce that the CCF Book Club has selected The Descendant by Linda Stasi as our next reading choice. This engaging work of historical fiction, published on March 10, 2026, has already received considerable acclaim—ranking number 48 out of 4 million books within its first week of release. The novel chronicles the Barbera family’s journey from Sicily to Colorado and Brooklyn, with Linda Stasi’s narrative skillfully highlighting the resilience and fortitude of the women at the heart of the family. The story is enriched by vivid portrayals of cattle ranching and the Prohibition era. We are also honored that Linda, a fellow member of the Columbus Citizens Foundation, will join the Book Club for a brief visit prior to the evening’s formal presentation of her book. The Book Club will meet in the Members Lounge on April 29 ^th at 4:30 pm.
